Program is not breed specific and topics to be covered will include:
  1. Genetics - The Next Big Thing
  2. Building The Paternal Herd Bull and Improving Your Herd With Each Generation.
  3. Selecting Cattle For Grass Utilization, Quality of Meat, Milk & Fats and Performance, all on grass. The Animal That Does Well On Grass Will Explode In The Feedlot.
  4. Using the genetics in your herd to be profitable selling your grass through your cows and making your cattle more profitable in the feed lot.
  5. Understanding your genetics for creating your own paternal herd bull from your own cow herd.
  6. How to build an ordinary cow herd into a valuable cow herd.
  7. At what age do I need to wean my calves for the most production per animal and longevity of that animal.
  8. At what age do I breed for the most production from each cow and longevity of that animal.
  9. Linear Measuring is used to set the standards for most of these selection and management practices and we will have a Linear Measuring Demonstration With Live Cattle. "How To Linear Measure and Select Gourmet Beef."

Halliburton Farms Consignment Auction Sale.
We need a minimum of 40 lots consigned and catalog fees paid by February 1, 2010 to support a British White Cattle Auction Sale and the maximum number accepted will be in neighborhood of 60 lots. Consignments will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Please bring Quality Consignments that will entice prospective buyers to want to visit your farm or ranch for more like them. You never get a second chance to create that First Impression.
 
Consignment Terms & Conditions.
1. Cost
·        Catalog fee $50.00 per lot, due at time of consignment and non-refundable. Exception: All catalog fees will be refunded if we fail to get the 40 consignments by February 1.
·        Sales commission is 12% of Auction Price (Including No Sale Lots) plus Transfer fees.
2. Send catalog fee, registration information(registration number, pedigree etc) and catalog footnotes to Halliburton Farms, 200 Halliburton Dr, Bells, TX 75414.  Also send Quality Photos - We will try to use as many as possible. Email photos if possible.
3. Each consignor may consign one bull as the sixth animal in each lot of six consignments. Due to new Trich Health Regulations all bulls must be under 24 months of age and virgin certified in writing.
4.  At sale time each lot must have; Health Certificate - With Breeding Palpation Info, Breeding Age Bulls Must Be Fertility Tested. Check with your veterinarian for latest requirements for local and out of state travel.
5. All Sale Cattle Should Be In Place At Halliburton Farms Sales Facility by 7:00 PM on Thursday April 1, 2010. Cattle should be clipped, groomed and ear tagged with catalog sale lot number(we will send you tags after cattle are cataloged.). Bring Original Registration Certificates Signed For Transfer and Health Papers for each lot and turn them in to sale management before unloading cattle.
 
Bring your own feed, water containers and feed troughs are available.
